New Organizational Features: Folders for Analyses, Dashboards, and Knowledge Banks

One of the standout features in Relyence 2024 Release 2 is the ability to create folders for your Analyses, Dashboards, and Knowledge Banks. This enhancement brings several benefits:

  • Enhanced Organization: With folders, you can structure your files by project, department, or any other criteria. This makes it easier to locate specific files and maintain a clear information hierarchy.
  • Ease of Navigation: Grouping files into folders simplifies document management. No more sifting through long lists of files—just navigate straight to the folder you need.
  • Scalability: As your file collection grows, the folder structure allows you to maintain efficiency by consistently managing new files, updates, and revisions.
  • Access Control: Organize Analyses, Dashboards, and Knowledge Banks into folders with full Access Control, ensuring that only relevant teams can view or edit specific data. For example, organize Analyses by manufacturing location and restrict access to team members assigned to that location.

To start using folders, simply select View All from the Sidebar or Manage Analyses from the Account menu. Then click the Folder button to create new folders or move existing files.

New in Relyence RBD: Optimal Replacement and Allocation Tools

Relyence 2024 Release 2 introduces two powerful new add-on capabilities in Relyence RBD (Reliability Block Diagram):

Optimal Replacement

For systems that require preventive or corrective replacement, the Optimal Replacement tool helps determine the best time for planned component replacement. By calculating optimal replacement intervals based on failure characteristics and maintenance costs, you can make more cost-effective decisions.

Key features:

  • Calculation Types: Individual, Common, or Clusters (based on time or cost)
  • Block Quantities: Adjust to force block quantities to one for more granular analysis, such as in solar arrays.

Allocation

The Allocation tool enables you to allocate reliability goals across components of your system. This ensures that your design meets the reliability targets efficiently.

Key features:

  • Allocation Types: Equal Apportionment, Balanced Apportionment, Weighted, and Optimized (based on feasibility factors)
  • Reliability Importance & Equivalent Parallel Units: Understand the impact of each block’s reliability on the system.

New in Relyence FMEA: Enhanced Customization and Reporting

Relyence FMEA continues to evolve with significant updates in customization and reporting:

Failure Mode Library for Piece-Part FMEAs

The 2024 Release 2 introduces a custom Part Failure Modes Library for piece-part DFMEAs and FMECAs. This library allows you to define failure modes for each part type, ensuring:

  • Standardization across projects
  • Full coverage of potential failure modes
  • Increased efficiency by starting with predefined failure modes

Customizable FMEA Form Reports

Now, you can create custom FMEA Form Reports with more flexibility. Customize headers, footers, and text formatting to meet your needs and regulatory requirements.

Additional reporting enhancements include:

  • Improved Report Headers: Customize columns, data alignment, and more.
  • Report Footers: Add static footer text like “Confidential” on all reports.
  • PDF Diagrams: Generate Fault Tree Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, RBDs, and more in PDF format.
